Testimonial

Kingfisher Independent Funeral Services have just received a lovely testimonial from a happy client. It makes all the hard work worthwhile.

Arranging a funeral is not an everyday task and can be both stressful and confusing.  When my mother died I was keen to avoid the “one size fits all” approach and wanted to find a funeral service that was not part of a large group and would give a truly personal service.  I was fortunate to find Kingfisher Funeral Services.
Andrew Hickson provided exactly the type of personal service I was seeking.  There was absolutely no pressure to go for expensive options . In fact he recommended some of the least expensive!
Andrew  displayed  great empathy and efficiency and also recommended an excellent civil celebrant so that the funeral service was perfect – exactly as I had envisaged it.
Andrew so obviously  cares about what he does and the people he does it for. Thoroughly recommended.

Funeral Prices Online

We have updated our website to include an 'Estimate Generator' which allows you to work out the cost of a funeral online, before you make any commitment to using our services. We are one of the very first Funeral Directors to offer this service, which we believe puts you in complete control of the event. We will not ever try to upsell elements of a funeral to you, and by publishing our prices online we cannot anyway! Try it out - you can add things, take them away, alter and amend, and see how this affects the price until you have exactly what you want. http://www.kingfisherfunerals.co.uk/costs.html

Swimming Pool to be heated from Crematorium

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-hereford-worcester-12388011 This is a great and innovative use of heat generated by a crematorium being recycled and used to heat a leisure centre. There are, of course, objections on the grounds of lack of taste, but is this really justified? The heat that is generated in a crematorium is immense, and once "used" is wasted. Why not put it to good use?

Kingfisher Independent Funeral Services is thoroughly in favour of recycling and re-using any of the earth's valuable resources. We promote the use of eco-friendly coffins and green burial. We recycle almost all of the waste generated by the business, and we are very proud of this.
